New Conservative Mayor and Mayoress of Burnley

David was sworn into his new office in a ceremony last month having been proposed by Conservative Group Leader Cllr Peter Doyle and seconded by Labour Group Leader Cllr Julie Cooper. A packed town hall debated chamber included the president, chairman and deputy chairman of the Burnley Conservative Association as well as Richard Ali, the Conservative candidate at the last General Election.
Joan, the new Mayoress, will be fundraising for Pendleside Hospice.
